Where are you???

Wilson..

Where are you? Are you roaming? Who’s got you? Are you happy? Are you eating well? Are you having fun? I love you and I miss you and I want you home with me! Please help us find you.

It’s been over two months and we are not giving up until we find Wilson. He’s out there… we just need help spreading the word. The in-pouring of emails and phone calls has been phenomenal and I thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes! We worry that out in the country, internet access is not so readily available so distributing flyers and talking to as many people as possible is the key as well.

Where can he be? I drive from Richmond to Goochland, Oilville, Sandy Hook, Hadensville, and surrounding areas almost every day and thank all my friends who venture the trek with me. We have gone out as early as 4am and have stayed as late as midnight in hopes to see him wondering before or after the heat of the day.

Where is he?!

I really miss Wilson sitting on the front porch with me as I have my early morning coffee or my evening chats with friends. I miss his prancing along side me for our walks thru the Fan – my walking him and his walking his stuffed chi-chi. I miss going to the river and watching him fetch GIANT sticks – retrieving them from the end so it looks like he’s smoking a giant cigar. I miss watching him watch the “squirrel fest” in my back yard. I miss his “high five.” I miss having to wake him up in the mornings for our early walks. I miss buying giant bags of the healthiest holistic dog food I can find because he has skin allergies. I miss watching him run up ahead when we hike, only to turn around and wait as if to say “come on mom.. hurry up!” I miss brushing him. I miss his loud groans when he is content lying on his bed. I miss camping with him..and although he is so big, he never hogs the tent. I miss taking him on offroad trips in “his” D90. I miss his big goofy face looking up at me waiting for the next fun adventure. I miss reminding him to use his “inside feet” as he walks thru the house. I miss his sitting on my lap. Yep, his favorite spot – I think he must think he’s quite a bit smaller than he actually is!

Please.. I just want him back.

Your Dog

Friendships we make in life often prematurely end
But 'til the day that he dies your dog will be your friend
Your dog will love you and from you never part
Your bond with your dog an affair of the heart
Your dog a true friend and true friends are rare
Of your social rank he is one who doesn't care
For a meal and a few words of kindness each day
In love and devotion you she will more than repay
Your dog you can trust and your trust he will not betray
That is more than most of your human friends that you can say
On your dog's love for you doubtless you can rely
To most of your human friends such does not apply
Some humans you thought were friends about you may lie
But your dog will love you 'til the day he will die.

I'm searching for a stolen GSD named Maya all up and down the East Coast. However, I'm on the DelMarVa Peninsula, not far from your efforts. I added Wilson to my search the moment I saw the post on Craigslist while looking for news of Maya.

I'll search for Wilson in honor of Tasha, a majestic Black Lab, thrown away and treated worse than trash until she was 5 months old. I was her last hope. She repaid the kindness by saving my life and holds onto my heart to this day. Had she ever been lost to me, I would have searched to the ends of the earth.

I believe Wilson will try to go "home." You and your family and all the searchers are not alone. May a rescue angel find Wilson and deliver him home soon.

Thaks to Kat from Lite 98 FM for helping to spread the word about Wilson. Check out Kat's Pet Pages for information on lost and found pets and animals needing a new home.

Words to Lean on...

“Hi I posted yesterday on the lost and found site that we found Luke about 2 miles away from our home. For those who don't know Luke has been missing for 2 months. Something that I thought would never happen has. I guess it just goes to show that you have to keep hoping. I have grown attached to the lost pets on CL over the past 2 months. I want more than anything for Wilson, Petey, the dog lost on Parham/Patterson to be reunited with their owners. I want to also thank everyone for letting me be the crazy cat lady and post day after day since May 26th.. I am praying for all of the lost pets!!!!”

“I'm sorry I don't have any information on Wilson but just wanted to let you know that I am praying for his safe return. Goochland County will be starting school in a week or two, someone will see him early in the morning while waiting for a bus or getting their child off to school. I have friends in the Goochland/Hadensville area and they are also keeping a look out for your boy as well.God Bless you and he will be home soon!”

“I am sorry that I am leaving town tomorrow or I would come help. I do hope you find Wilson and don't give up. It took nine weeks and I finally found my baby. My thought will be with you.”

“Prayers and love to you and Wilson.”Sharon

"Keep going out there. One day soon, he is going to come home with you. I'm certain of it. Just gotta get the time of day that he is showing himself, if there is a pattern." Angie

"Daisey is getting a new collar made so she can be pretty for when Wilson comes home." Ann

“Remember too - Wilson is looking for you just as hard so don't give up on him - he isn't giving up on you!” Judy

My heart goes out to you, your family and your friends. I
hope you find Wilson. I will post the Flyer at my local Starbucks and I sent the link around to some folks I know in Richmond. My thoughts and prayers for Wilson's safe return are with youall.” All the best, Molly

Hi Christina,
I'm a craigslister that has been following your search for Wilson for weeks now. I wish that I could help search but I am disabled and unable to do so. I've been praying for you and Wilson because I can tell how much you love him. Don't give up hope...I lost one of our cats two years ago ..she was found 15 miles from our home so follow every lead. I've downloaded your flyer from the blog spot and will have friends and relative post them everywhere we can. - Teresa

I have seen your ads and I wish I had info but I just couldn't help emailing, I know you are so stressed and worried. My Rottie got away from us one time and was missing for 3 days, it was horrible. I just wanted you to know - one pet lover to another - that honest and caring people are seeing this ad and those of us that know your plight are praying for the safe return of Wilson, he is beautiful and much loved. I just wanted you to know that some people are out there and feel your pain and our thoughts are with you!
Take care,
Tina

Prayer to St. Anthony

St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and charity for his creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I ask you to obtain for me the favors that I seek: to find Wilson.

The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was full of sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Infant Jesus, who loved to be held in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever by yours.
