As recently as 2 days ago, we have had multiple sightings in the upper Cedar Plains Road and Hadensville areas. Sharon, Ann, Annette, Gary, Angie, Jennifer, Chelle, BJ, Billie, I and so many others have responded to sightings to no avail. By the time we get to where someone “saw him 5 minutes ago” he’s already somewhere else. Where IS he?? The folks that were taking care of him on Cedar Plains Rd said he just didn’t come home one night – they thought he could easily find his way. Did he get disoriented after they picked up his buddy Remus and left him to find his own way home? Did he find a really, really good scent to scurry after and just lost his way? Did he simply have so much fun that he wasn’t ready to come home that day on June 7th? I have been learning a ton about animal behavior from vets, animal advocates and zoologists. I have learned that it is not unlikely that after about 72 hours, dogs can typically go into “survival mode” and tend not to act as domesticated as one might think. Obtaining water and food become their goal and surviving the elements in nature becomes their main focus each day. Becoming more un-trusting of their environment is also not uncommon. Poor Wilson.
So the good news is that Wilson has been spotted several times trotting thru the back yards in the area. Is he being fed? Being taken care of? Or is he doing the best he can to survive every day alone? Is he ok? Is he happy? Does he miss his big fat bed and his chi- chi, baby, squirrel and pink octopus toys? Does he need his little feet to be taken care of? Does he need a big fat hug?
Wilson turned 6 last month. He missed his birthday party. What is it going to take to bring him home?

It is amazing how much you have done to try to find Wilson. It breaks my heart that he is still not with you by now. God Bless you and Wilson. We are all praying for you.
You mentioned that you like to camp with Wilson. Have you thought about picking a spot( with permission of course) to camp for a weekend . Maybe he can find you. Hang clothes etc. out, anything with your scent to pull him to you. Cook his favorite people food, play your music ! Just a thought !!
I think of Wilson every day and for the past 2 days have driven through the rest area on I-64 looking for him. I saw a black cat at the dumpster behind the rest area and thought Wilson could be hanging out there. I carry a leash and dog treats in my car in the hopes that I will see him. I will keep looking and praying for his safe return.
THANK YOU Goochland High for keeping a lookout for Wilson in the Jackson Shop Road and surrounding area!
Now I know you are my sister! Wilson and looking for Wilson is letting the world know something about unconditional love. This is your own holy grail. And so completely refreshing to be reminded of what true dedication, compassion, and faith looks like in action. I think "Looking for Wilson" might need to the name of Pouch fanny pack....made of recycled leather jackets....maybe that can be our next project?
